Why the Early Years Matter (0–6 Years)
from birth to age six, form the foundation for every child’s future. This period is a time of immense potential, where the brain develops at an extraordinary pace and children begin to form the cognitive, emotional, and social abilities that shape who they become. The early years are not just a phase of preparation, they are a time of life in their own right, deserving of intentional care, meaningful relationships, and nurturing environments. By investing in the early years, we are not only supporting the growth of each individual child but also planting the seeds for a more just, empathetic, and sustainable society. Here’s why these early years are so key:
Rapid Brain Development
90% of brain growth occurs before age 6. Rich, positive experiences during this time lay the groundwork for lifelong learning and well-being.
Formation of Identity and Emotional Security
Children begin to understand themselves and the world through secure attachments and consistent, respectful interactions with adults.
Curiosity and Learning Disposition
Early experiences shape how children approach learning, building curiosity, creativity, resilience, and a sense of agency.
Habits for Life
Values, attitudes, and behaviors formed during these years deeply influence future choices, social bonds, and environmental awareness.
A Window for Equity
Early childhood is a powerful equalizer. Providing inclusive, respectful, and high-quality care in these years helps close developmental gaps and supports every child’s potential, regardless of background.

At Blossom, we believe that raising a child is a shared journey, and families are at the heart of everything we do. When you choose Blossom, you don’t just enroll in a nursery, you become part of a warm and supportive community built on trust, collaboration, and shared values.
We prioritize open and consistent communication through daily updates, real-time photos, and direct messaging via the LittleLives app, so you always feel connected to your child’s day. Beyond digital tools, we encourage in-person engagement through regular coffee mornings, workshops, family events, and parent-child activities.
Our parent community provides opportunities to connect with other families, exchange experiences, and feel supported through every stage of parenting. Whether through group chats, informal meetups, or scheduled events, Blossom ensures that you always feel welcomed, heard, and involved in your child’s learning journey.
At Blossom, we follow a unique and enriched curriculum rooted in the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and thoughtfully enhanced by globally respected educational philosophies, including Reggio Emilia, Emmi Pikler, and Maria Montessori.
Our approach blends the structure and developmental goals of EYFS with the child-led exploration of Reggio Emilia, the respectful care principles of Emmi Pikler, and the independence-building methods of Montessori. These are further informed by the latest neuroscience research, allowing us to deliver a holistic, personalized learning experience that supports every aspect of a child’s development.
We also recognize and celebrate the cultural richness of the communities we serve. In some of our nurseries in Abu Dhabi, we proudly offer classrooms that reflect a strong Emirati heritage, helping children connect with local values, language, and traditions from an early age.
This integrated and culturally responsive curriculum ensures children are well-prepared for a seamless transition to any school system, whether IB, British, French, or other international pathways, while nurturing confident, capable, and curious learners.
Absolutely. At Blossom, inclusion is not just a policy, it is a core value. We believe that every child is unique and deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in a nurturing and respectful environment.
Our commitment to inclusive education means we welcome children with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. Our dedicated SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators) and Inclusion Specialists work hand in hand with classroom educators to design individualized learning plans tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and developmental goals.
To further support families, we collaborate with six early intervention centers across the UAE, allowing specialists to work with children directly within our nursery setting. This integrated approach ensures consistency in care, reduces disruption, and provides a seamless experience for both children and parents.
At Blossom, inclusion means every child is seen, supported, and celebrated, just as they are.
